Potato Stamping.

Yesterday I was in Hobby Lobby, 40% off coupon in hand, looking for fabric to make a banner for Mason's nautical themed birthday party. I realized I didn't have an idea for a tablecloth! The printed fabrics are a bit pricey(considering I only need the tablecloth to last one day) & nothing really caught my eye.

I decided to buy plain white fabric & create my own pattern by potato stamping anchors. It was simple process that I was able to mostly complete during morning nap time & finish up during afternoon nap.

I was surprised at how easily my Xacto knife cut through the potato. I was nervous that the curvy lines would be difficult to manage. It was actually easy & fun!

I opted to "eyeball" the spacing, instead of measure it out. I love the relaxed character of the imperfect pattern.

This project got me really excited to work on the rest of Mason's birthday party!

Happy Friday!
